It's a console I could recommend. I do wish, however, that those external GPUs were compatible with more affordable GPUs so that you don't spend $700 on the brain part and the GPU is somewhere around $1500. I wish there had been a docking station from launch where you could stick the console in and pull out HDMI, the Display port, the respective cable dedicated to an external GPU, and maybe a few more USBs.
